Leones Design was founded to create original, fine-art bronze sculpture and décor. Each Leones bronze is individually hand-crafted to find and enhance it’s own variations and natural beauty. This ensures each piece has integrity and depth, and is unique.
Inspired by the traditional methods and forms of fine arts and crafts, we are interested in the
expression of traditional human themes. On the formal side, we enjoy the interplay of line and mass,
motion and repose. The warmth and weight of bronze with the transitory pull of motion.
The lamps use an open mass concept that contrast form and substance with drawing in space. The
sculpture works with traditional cubist vocabulary and mass. The subject matter is human; dancers,
children, lovers, scenes from life.
Each individual bronze prepared one at at time, cast using the lost wax method, and hand finished to enhance the beauty of both the form and the natural
variation present in the material and casting.
Peter Ericksen has been a professional artist since 1982. He has exhibited in numerous regional and national shows, with works in private and corporate collections across the US and Europe. Pete works in a number of media including sculpture, painting, and printmaking, and specializes in bronze sculpture.
Steve DeRoche has over two decades leadership experience in product development, engineering and operations at global manufacturing companies. He is a recognized expert and award winning new product and business development leader, including a Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
